  • 5+ years UX research experience, preferably digital product design focused.

  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Mixpanel, Tableau, Adobe Analytics and/or other reporting apps or other data analysis applications (Typeform) to understand customer behaviour and generate relevant reports.
  • Knowledge and experience in usability moderating (all types, particularly one-on-one), participant recruiting/screener creation, test method selection, debriefing, facilitation, participant recruiting/screener creation, statistical/qualitative/quantitative analysis, presentations (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated experience creating scalable UXR processes, preferably across international markets.
  • Experience researching in the Fintech sector is advantageous.
Scope of Work

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be primarily responsible for designing and conducting research activities and programs of work. You’ll help a team of designers, product managers, engineers as well as stakeholders across functions understand user needs. You’ll explore user behaviours and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. You’ll help establish, embed and maintain research practices and processes to improve our research maturity across the product function.

You will work within the Product Design team but also directly with cross-functional Engineering and Product teams to research features and functionality across platforms and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, conduct and moderate qualitative and quantitative user research both online and in the field and provide recommendations for product improvements based on the research findings.
  • Analyse and triangulate qualitative and quantitative data in order to generate strategic and tactical insights along with actionable recommendations that drive product design improvements.
  • Collaborate with product, design, marketing and engineering to solve problems, influence product/design direction, and prioritise user experience research questions in line with overall product strategy.
  • Promote the necessity and value of a robust research function to help create customer-needed products and services to the leadership team and other relevant teams.
  • Engage with product teams to help determine and shape the most appropriate research approach (supporting the team in creating a test plan, running testing, analysing results and compiling lightweight reports)
  • Work with designers, product managers and developers to prioritise research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Potentially drive the expansion of the research function within the product design team by actively recruiting, leading and mentoring future UX researchers
  • Work closely with data analysts and marketing, examining data sets in order to draw conclusions about the information they contain and create valid personas based on qualitative and quantitative research results
  • For larger projects the ability to select, consult with, and manage research vendors (assessing proposals, evaluating budget considerations, managing contracts, etc.).
  • Identify new opportunities to create repeatable processes that help the UXR team scale.
